Well, couple of weeks ago, we discussed about the 4th generation Moto G that is now available at Amazon. However, Lenovo is also coming up with an upgraded version of this device and calling it Lenovo Moto G4 Plus. Basically, the new device will be an extended version of upcoming 4th Generation Moto G and would include some additional features as compared to Moto G4.
At the launch of Zuk Z2 Pro, Mr. Yang Yuanqing, the CEO of Lenovo, mentioned that Motorola will be coming up with two devices, Lenovo Moto G4 and Lenovo Moto G4 Plus on May 17th, 2016.

Lenovo Motorola Moto G4 Plus Specifications
Again, as expected with the fourth generation Moto G, it is also highly anticipated that Moto G4 Plus also feature a fingerprint scanner at the bottom center section of the device. Unlike previous Moto G devices, the Moto G4 Plus would have a physical home button that would also embed a fingerprint sensor to work as the fingerprint scanner for the device.
If we go by the past models and releases from Motorola, especially Moto X Force, the company has always judged the markets well and designed specific models of the best flagship devices in limited markets. And, we believe the Moto G4 Plus won’t be launched worldwide like Moto G4 but only in limited markets.
Hence, although we expect Moto G4 Plus to be an upgraded version of Moto G4, most of the specs would remain same between both these devices.
There’s no way Motorola will assemble their Moto G4 Plus with any Android version older than Android 6 Marshmallow, just like the 2016 Moto G. Lenovo Moto G4 Plus is packed with Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box.
Moto G4 Plus would flaunt a screen size of 5.5 inches built with Corning Gorilla Glass 4, which is entitled for the screen’s durability and longevity. The display will have 1920×1080 pixels Full HD resolution offering 401 ppi pixel density.
Processor and RAM
Moto G4 Plus will be equipped with the latest Qualcomm 1.2/1.5 GHz Octa-Core 64-bit Snapdragon 617 processor with Adreno 405 GPU. In order to support this good quality processor, the device will embed with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM that will surely boost the performance of Lenovo Moto G4 Plus.
Well, battery life is the biggest concern of any Android user and Lenovo has been launching devices with improved battery life under its G series phones since from the beginning. This time as well, Moto G4 Plus won’t disappoint you with its battery life as the device is with a whopping 3000mAh Li-Ion battery and turbo charging available.
Besides a quality processor and two varients of 2GB, 3GB and 4GB RAM, Lenovo Moto G4 Plus would also offer 32GB/ 64GB internal storage that can be increased by a maximum of 128GB using the micro SD card storage slot.
Moto G4 Plus would have an upgraded 16MP rear camera offering dual-tone LED flash, laser autofocus and will allow 1080p HD recording. In addition to that, we would have a 5MP secondary camera with Omnivision OV5693 sensor on the front.
Moto G4 Plus will feature all the basic connectivity options offered by the latest Android devices in the market including the latest LTE and voLTE support. Moto G4 Plus is also expected to release alongside the fourth generation Moto G4 2016 on June 9, 2016 as announced by the CEO of Lenovo during Zuk Z2 Pro.
