One of the main advantages of buying an Android One smartphone is the stock Android experience you get. At the moment, we know that each and every Nokia phone comes under the Android One program. Apart from that, there are sadly very few options for Android One smartphones from popular brands.

However, Xiaomi gave everyone a surprise by launching its first Android One smartphone Mi A1. Later, the Mi A2 was also released last year and we now have the Mi A3 as well.

The latest smartphone in Xiaomi’s Mi A series was just released in European markets. Mi A3 is powered by Snapdragon 665 processor, has a triple camera setup at the back and is priced at EUR 249.

It has to be said that Xiaomi’s Mi A lineup came as a pleasant surprise for people who wanted Xiaomi phones with Stock Android. Because it is already known that there are people who like Xiaomi’s MIUI while others don’t.

Therefore, the Mi A1 sold very well for Xiaomi and the Mi A2 was also released next year. However, this year’s Mi A3 has turned out to be a bit of a dampener because of its specifications and price.

While you do get a triple rear camera setup, there is nothing else to boast about for this smartphone. Xiaomi Mi A3 comes with a 6-inch AMOLED display which is only HD+ in resolution. Also, the smartphone is powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 665 processor.

You only get a 4GB RAM variant with a maximum of 128GB internal storage option. Although the storage is enough, the RAM on this smartphone is not enough according to 2019 standards.

Talking about the triple rear cameras, there is a 48MP primary, 8MP wide-angle and 2MP telephoto lens at the back. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera placed inside the waterdrop notch. The pricing of Mi A3 also disappoints, at least in European markets, starting at EUR 249 for the base variant.

While the Indian pricing may vary, Xiaomi has to place the smartphone extremely well to perform well in Indian markets. As Xiaomi’s Mi A3 will have a tough competition with the recently-launched Realme X in India.
