The sub-brand of Xiaomi has announced two new smartwatches dubbed as Redmi Smart Band Pro and Redmi Watch 2 Lite. The launch of the smartwatches took place a couple of days; after the announcement of the Redmi Note 11 Series and the Redmi Watch 2.
Both the watches feature touch displays with over 100 fitness and workout modes with Watch 2 Lite coming at an affordable price in comparison to the Watch 2.
Redmi Smart Band Pro Specifications
The Redmi Smart Band Pro sports a 1.47-inch AMOLED touch display with a screen resolution of 194×368 pixels. The display comes with a 100 percent NTSC color gamut coverage, 8-bit color depth; up to 450 nits of peak brightness, and a 282-pixel density.
Speaking of the sensors, the watch features a six-axis sensor, PPG heart rate sensor, and light sensor.
The smart band gets a 5ATM certification and the device is powered by the Apollo 3.5 processor. The Smart Band Pro connects to smartphones with Bluetooth v5 and the compatible devices should run Android 6.0 and above or iOS 10.0 and above. Besides, the device packs up to 110 workout modes and monitoring features such as heart rate, SpO2, and sleep quality tracking.
A few of the popular workout modes on the Smart Band Pro include outdoor running, treadmill, outdoor walking; outdoor cycling, HIIT, jumping rope, rowing machine, elliptical machine, and much more.
Additionally, the smart band can automatically track workouts such as treadmill, outdoor running, and outdoor walking. Also, the battery capacity on the watch is a 200mAh cell that gives up to 14 days of backup and 20 days of usage in power-saving mode.
Redmi Watch 2 Lite Specifications
The Watch 2 Lite from Redmi sports a 1.55-inch TFT display with a screen resolution. The display features a typical square-shaped screen similar to its higher-priced Watch 2. The watch is 5ATM water-resistant and comes with Heart rate and SpO2 sensors.
Moreover, the functioning of the sensors includes 24-hour heart rate monitoring, SpO2 monitoring, sleep monitoring, and other essentials like breathing and menstrual cycles.
Furthermore, the smartwatch comes with over 100 workout modes which include 17 professional modes such as Yoga and HIIT workouts. Also, the watch features up to 100 watch faces for different types of people with different tastes. Moreover, the watch comes with features like music control, weather, message notifications; incoming call notifications, and Find My Phone.
The lite version of Watch 2 from Redmi comes with Bluetooth v5 for connecting to smartphones that are Android 6.0 and above or iOS 10.0 and above. Besides, the battery capacity is a 262mAh cell that comes with a magnetic charging port; and a proprietary cable with the watch from Redmi. The watch survives for up to 10 days of battery life and only 14 with continuous GPS turned on for sports modes.
Price and Availability
The pricing and availability of the both smart band and watch from Redmi have not yet been announced. The color options for the Watch 2 Lite are Black, Blue, and Ivory watch case colors. The strap options for the Watch 2 lite include Black, Blue, Brown, Ivory, Olive, and Pink. Whereas, the Smart Band Pro comes with a single black color option.
