iOS 17 Update Rolls Out on iPhones with New Features and Design Changes

iOS 17 update has started rolling out on eligible iPhone models globally along with India. Apple has even rolled out other software updates in the ecosystem such as macOS Sonoma, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, and watchOS 10. The new updates will come with features that will provide a unique experience to all of the Apple devices and improvements in performance.

The highlighting features in the new update include a collaborative playlist for Apple Music and a new Journal application. However, these features are not included with the iOS 17 version but eventually roll out in the future firmware.

Let’s check out some of the best features rolled out on these new updates from Apple for their devices. 

iOS 17 Rolled out with New Features on Eligible iPhone Models

The new software update has a similar design language when compared to the previous generation iOS 16 version. The major highlight of the iOS 17 update is the new Contact Posters option for incoming calls. The feature has the ability to have a customized poster along with a profile photo which can be shared with other people in their contacts.

iPhone users can now use full-length images of Memoji with customizable fonts with large texts for the contact posters. On the other hand, users can see real-time transcription for Live Voicemail on the iPhone directly. The update even includes a revamped Call interface while on-call and buttons have taken a new size and position.

The update even has the new NameDrop and AirDrop features which are quite popular among iPhone users. This new feature can enable sharing files, starting SharePlay sessions, and playing games together by simply bringing phones closer. Furthermore, the NameDrop feature which comes new on the update works like magic. The feature will allow the users to share contact information with slick animation by bringing devices closer. 

Users can now take advantage of the wireless charging feature differently with the latest StandBy mode option. The feature will let the iPhone work as a display that shows information like time and much more while charging the device wirelessly. This information includes Live Activities, notifications, widgets, and activating Siri.

Coming to the Messages, the new update comes with Check-In and Live Stickers features. These features help users to notify their present location and live tracking and users can create live stickers using any images on their device and send them through iMessage.

Lastly, there are features like the new Safari Profiles and Private Browsing lock for the Safari browser. Users have the vicinity to have multiple profiles and lock the private browsing tabs with FaceID or touchID.
