Why Does Cydia Size Mismatch Error Appear?

The Cydia Size Mismatch Error in iOS 7 and iOS 8 occurs when the package that you are downloading in a repository is different from the listed size. This variation of the size is detected by your iDevice and as a secure, it prevents the installation of that package in your iOS 7 and iOS 8.

The day before yesterday, I tried to download a tweak from Cydia that was suggested by my friend. My excitement level dropped to zero when I saw Cydia Size Mismatch Error in my iDevice. If there is an error, there has to be a solution! So, my friends who are facing the same problem that I faced few days ago have a good news. I have a solution to fix Cydia Size Mismatch Error in your iOS 7 and iOS 8.

There are basically two solutions for Cydia Size Mismatch Error in iOS 7 and iOS 8.

Solution 1: Who Is The Repo Owner?

Let me explain you the problem more in a practical manner, so that you would understand it much better.

Suppose you are trying to download a tweak that is showing the size as 900 kb but the actual size of the tweak is greater or lesser than 900 kb. Then in iOS 7 and iOS 8, an error saying Cydia Size Mismatch Error will pop up in your screen. As there is a variation in the actual size of the repo, you will be unable to proceed further. In such a case, you should look for the contact details of the repo owner in the tweak page. Once you have the contact details, share the problem with them and request them to rectify it. When the correction is done, you can be sure that you will not face the Cydia Size Mismatch Error in iOS 7 and iOS 8 again for that particular repo.
