Acer has announced a new gaming laptop called Predator Helios 500 with the model number PH517-52 on Monday in India. The manufacturer has first unveiled the product in the United States; and now, this high-end gaming laptop has finally arrived in India.
The laptop features a powerful 11th Gen Core i9 Intel processor along with a high-refresh-rate; mini LED display for great visuals while gaming and media consumption. This powerful laptop from Acer caters mostly to Gaming enthusiasts for streaming and graphics-intensive works.
Acer Predator Helios 500 Specifications
The Predator Helios 500 sports a 17.3-inch 4K Mini LED display made with an AUO AmLED technology with a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. The display comes with a 120Hz refresh rate which is quite helpful for high-intensity multi-player gaming.
An 11th-generation Intel Core i9 processor powers the laptop coupled with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. The storage provided is of 64GB DDR4 3200MHz memory; a pair of PCIe NVMe SSDs in RAID 0 and one SATA HDD. Coming to the GPU, the graphic card from Nvidia features 16GB GDDR6 VRAM for managing graphical tasks.
The connectivity options on the Acer’s new gaming laptop include three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports with offline charging support; an HDMI 2.1, mini-DP1.4, two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4, and an RJ45 port for ethernet. Furthermore, the Helios 500 features an Intel Killer E3100 Ethernet Controller, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650, and the Killer Intelligence Center for enhanced network connectivity.
Acer with its PredatorSense technology is providing customizable settings on the Helios 500. Besides, The technology helps in selecting custom colors on the RGB lit keyboard; with many personalized options for an individual key.
Also, the keyboard comes with Acer’s MagForce keys which makes regular keypress functions into a joystick mechanism with the help of MagTek mechanical switches on WASD key assembly.
The key mechanism of the MagForce keys works gradually with an increase in pressure in gameplay; from the initial pressure of 0.8mm to a press which is to full potential at 100 percent of 3 / 3.1 mm pressure in the key.
Moreover, the speaker setup on this new gaming laptop is beefed up with a DTS: X Ultra audio system; that throws sound in a 360-degree surround pattern in both speaker and headphones mode.
Price and Availability
The Acer Predator Helios 500 is priced at Rs. 3,79,999 in India for the lone 64GB RAM model. Also, the official page of the website doesn’t show any color options but comes in a Black version as shown in product images.
The Helios 500 will be available on Acer Online Store, Acer Exclusive Stores, and retail stores across India.
