About a week ago, we have reported the availability of video calling on WhatsApp. Back then, the feature was only available for people who sideloaded the app using the proper APK version.

If you don’t like installing apps from APK files and still want WhatsApp video calling badly, I have got good news for you.

WhatsApp video calling facility finally goes official. Yeah, you can get it with the latest version of WhatsApp on Android, iOS and Windows 10.

Unlike the method we suggested to get the beta version, you won’t have to do anything technical here to get WhatsApp video call on your device. All you have to do is updating your app to the current version.

In case you don’t see an update notification, you will have to do it manually by visiting the app page on the Play Store. You can get the latest version of WhatsApp with video calling from below links.

WhatsApp has over 100 billion users all around the world. Even as the late entrant into the social media field, it has managed to get such a large audience base only due to the innovative features they implement over time.

Google recently released two cross-platform apps; Duo and Allo. The first one is a dedicated video calling app whereas the second one is only an IM. It was evident that Google aimed to take WhatsApp down. But the app didn’t go outrageous as the company expected.

Now WhatsApp officially launched video calling feature kicking away the edge of many apps including Skype, Duo and even Hangouts. The speculations say that the company is developing Instagram-like stories for WhatsApp.

You don’t have to go through geeky steps to make a video call on WhatsApp. Once you update the app, you need to tap on the call button as you usually do for a voice call. You will have to make a choice between the two shown there; video call and voice call. You don’t need further guidance, do you?

Bonus: 257 WhatsApp status messages to express your mood

The celebrated Knock Knock feature of Allo is available on WhatsApp, using which you can see the preview of the caller. On the call screen, you get four buttons. The big red one terminates the call whereas the last row of three buttons help you switch your camera, go back to chat and mute audio respectively. When you go back to the chatting section, the call will get paused.

After the update, I noticed that the green on the interface became darker.
