Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, Samsung Galaxy A33 5G Launched with AMOLED Displays and Quad Rear Cameras

Samsung announces their latest Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and the Galaxy A33 5G smartphones in Europe. The Korean brand has launched these new smartphones; as a successor for the previously announced Galaxy A52 5G and Galaxy A32 5G. Samsung has even announced a new Onyx color for its Galaxy Buds 2 and Buds Live.

These latest handsets feature a similar design comprising quad rear cameras, punch-hole screens, and AMOLED displays. Let’s check out the full specifications and price details of the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and Samsung Galaxy A33 5G.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Specifications

The Galaxy A53 5G sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display with a screen resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels. The display supports a 120Hz high refresh rate, a pixel density of 405 PPI, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Under the hood, an octa-core chipset with 2.4 GHz & 2.0 GHz cores coupled with up to 8 GB of RAM. Furthermore, the device runs on One UI 4.1 skin based on the Android 12 operating system.

The quad-camera setup on the A53 5G houses a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens; along with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro shooter.

Moreover, the front-facing camera on the device; embedded within the punch-hole, comes with a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling.

In addition, the storage on the handset features up to 256 GB of storage with expandability via SD card.

The sensors array of the device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, ambient light, gyro, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.

Besides, the connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The battery capacity of the device features a 5,000mAh cell that supports a 25W fast charging but bundled charger outputs only 10W to 15W.

The Galaxy A53 5G features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display with a screen resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels.

The display supports a 90Hz refresh rate, a pixel density of 411 PPI, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, an octa-core chipset with 2.4 GHz & 2.0 GHz cores coupled with up to 8 GB of RAM. Furthermore, the device runs on One UI 4.1 skin based on the Android 12 operating system.

The quad-camera setup on the A33 5G houses a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens; along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro shooter.

Moreover, the front-facing camera on the device; embedded within the punch-hole, comes with a 13-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling.

Price and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G starts at EUR 449 or Rs. 37,800 approx. and the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G starts at  EUR 369 or Rs. 31,000.

The storage configurations of these two devices include  6 GB + 128 GB, 8 GB + 128 GB, and  8 GB + 256 GB configurations. The details regarding the Indian launch of these smartphones are yet to know.
