Reliance Jio launches ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan’ offer at Rs 309

Last Updated on April 12, 2017 by Rahul Krishnan Leave a Comment

Reliance Jio couldn’t make the most of their summer surprise offer. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) asked them to withdraw as it was incompliant to the existing regulatory framework.

Many people were not able to subscribe to the offer even if they wanted to. The internet outrageously went against this action and you might have seen some viral petition campaigns on change.org as well.

But yesterday (11/04/2017), in a surprise move, Jio announced its latest offer named Dhan Dhana Dhan.

Jio continued to provide summer surprise offer for almost four days after TRAI advised them to withdraw it. But the internet reactions made it clear that not everyone could subscribe to it. That’s why the Reliance-helmed company has come up with a new offer.

What does the new Dhan Dhana Dhan offer bring? Well, you will get unlimited data (1 GB or 2 GB per day according to the plan chosen), along with free voice calls and the subscription to Jio apps free for three months.

In order to get the offer, the existing Prime members have to recharge with Rs. 309 or Rs. 509. You can do it using any convenient platform (Jio money or website) for it. The offer will go invalid by April 15, the day Jio put as the deadline for the Prime membership.

What if you are not a Jio Prime member? You can painlessly do the Rs. 99 recharge and then go with 309 or 509 to avail Dhan Dhana Dhan offer. As stated earlier, the offer is up until April 15 only. Means both Prime and non-Prime members have a few days left to grab the offer.

Once you do the recharge, you can enjoy the free services for three billing periods (3x 28 days). The official website and My Jio app show the actual tariffs as 349 and 549 respectively. And, they are offering Rs. 40 discount for each plan.

Apparently, those who have enrolled for Summer Surprise offer can’t subscribe to Dhan Dhana Dhan.

The main difference between Dhan Dhana Dhan and Summer Surprise offer is the option to recharge for no FUP plans. You had the chance to recharge with Rs. 999 or higher to get rid of data limit. On the contrary, Dhan Dhana Dhan doesn’t offer the same.

Overall, both Summer Surprise and Dhan Dhana Dhan are similar in features. And, you get three months’ free service with the two.

Hurry up! It’s your chance to get the free services for three months in case you missed the Summer Surprise Offer.
