Realme Q5 and Realme Q5 Pro Launched with Qualcomm Snapdragon Chipsets and Triple Rear Cameras

The Realme Q5 and the Realme Q5 Pro have officially launched featuring triple rear cameras, big batteries, and fast charging. These new smartphones from the Realme brand come as a new addition to the Q-series line-up in China. Besides, the company has recently announced the Q5i smartphone in the same series, featuring a similar design.

The Realme Q5 and Q5 Pro come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon inside and come with a set of different features on each device. The notable differences between the Q5 and Q5 Pro include changes in the display and camera department. Let’s take a look at the Realme Q5 and Q5 Pro specifications, features, pricing, and availability.

Realme Q5 Pro Specifications

The Realme Q5 Pro boasts a 6.62-inch E4 AMOLED FHD display with a screen resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels. The display supports HDR, a 120Hz high refresh rate, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and comes with a peak brightness of up to 1300 nits.

Under the hood, an octa-core Snapdragon 870 5G chipset coupled with Adreno 650 GPU powers the handset. The device runs on Realme UI 3.0 out of the box, which is based on the Android 12 operating system.

The triple-camera setup of the Realme Q5 Pro includes a 64-megapixel primary wide sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. Furthermore, the secondary sensor of the Pro variant features an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.3 aperture and a tertiary 2-megapixel macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.

Besides, the front-facing camera of the Realme Q5 Pro arrives with a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling.

Realme Q5 Pro

The sensor array of the Pro variant includes an under-display optical fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. The connectivity options on the Pro variant feature dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, stereo speakers, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port for charging and data transfer.

Moreover, a 5000mAh cell comes packed with a device that supports 80W fast charging.

Realme Q5 Specifications

The Realme Q5 arrives with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD FHD display with a screen resolution of 1080 × 2412 pixels. The display supports a 120Hz high refresh rate, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and comes with a peak brightness of up to 600 nits.

Under the hood, an octa-core Snapdragon 695 5G processor coupled with Adreno 619 GPU powers the handset. The device runs on Realme UI 3.0 based on the Android 12 operating system along with dual-sim support.

The triple-camera setup of the Realme Q5 includes a 50-megapixel primary wide sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The camera setup comes with a duo of 2-megapixel sensors with an f/2.4 aperture for macro and monochrome purposes. Besides, the front-facing camera of the Realme Q5 is a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling.

The sensor array of the smartphone includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. Moreover, the connectivity options on the handset feature 5G, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Furthermore, the device comes packed with a 5000mAh cell that supports 60W fast charging.

Price and Availability

The Realme Q5 Pro starts at CNY 1,799 (Rs. 21,500 approx.) for the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM base storage, and the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB variant costs CNY 1,999 (Rs. 23,800 approx.). Whereas, the higher storage model of the Pro version with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of ROM gets a price tag of CNY 2,199 (Rs. 26,200 approx).

The Realme Q5 starts at CNY 1,399  (Rs. 16,700 approx.) for the base storage model of 6 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM. The mid-storage version gets a price tag of CNY 1,599 (Rs. 19,100 approx.) with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM.

Whereas, the top of the line storage version of the vanilla Q5 with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB ROM costs CNY 1,799 (Rs. 21,500 approx.) Both new Q-series smartphones will go on sale the next week in China.
