Poco M4 Pro 5G Announced with MediaTek Dimensity 810, 90Hz Display and Dual Rear Cameras

Poco has announced a new smartphone in the M-series as M4 Pro 5G. The device comes with a 5G Dimensity chipset from MediaTek. The smartphone is a rebranded Redmi Note 11 5G launched last month in China.

Additionally, the M4 Pro comes with Dual Stereo Speakers and a new type of design. The front features a high-refresh-rate screen that has a punch-hole display for a front-facing camera.

Poco M4 Pro 5G Specifications

The M4 Pro 5G sports a 6.6-inch full-HD+ Dot display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display supports a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Also, the visuals are embraced with the addition of a DCI-P3 wide color gamut on the display of the device.

Besides, an Octa-Core MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC powers the device along with up to 6GB of RAM; adding to that an 8GB extra Dynamic Expansion RAM from the storage.

Poco M4 Pro 5G

The onboard storage of the device is 128GB with an expansion of up to 1TB using a microSD card. The device runs on the Android 11 operating system with MIUI 12.5 skin on top. Furthermore, the camera module is a dual-camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor. A secondary 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter with a 119-degree lens.

The front-facing camera is a 16-megapixel sensor placed in the punch-hole of the display for selfies and video calling. Also, the rear camera features a few advanced modes from Poco that include artificial intelligence (AI) for Night Mode. The connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared (IR) blaster, NFC, FM radio, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The onboard sensors on this 5G smartphone include an accelerometer, X-axis linear motor,  gyro, compass, and, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for unlocking. Besides, the battery capacity of the smartphone is a 5,000mAh cell that comes with a 33W Pro fast charging support.

Price and Availability

The Poco M4 Pro 5G comes at a starting price of EUR 229 or Rs. 19,600 approx.; for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version in Europe. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version of the smartphone comes at a price tag of EUR 249 or Rs. 21,300 approx.

Besides, the color options provided by Poco for the device feature Cool Blue, Poco Yellow, and Power Black. This new smartphone from the sub-brand of Redmi and Xiaomi will go on sale from November 11.
