Oppo Reno 5 5G and 5 Pro 5G Launched With 90Hz Display, Quad-Camera and 65W Charging

Oppo has launched two new devices in its Reno lineup i.e, Reno 5 5G and Reno 5 Pro 5G. Oppo has launched the Reno series in China. Both smartphones feature a 90Hz display, Octa-core processors, Quad camera setup, 65W fast charging and runs on Android 11.

While the company didn’t launch the Reno 5 Pro+ 5G along with the other two smartphones but it is said that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC and supports 65W fast charging.

Oppo Reno 5 5G Specifications

The Reno 5 features a 6.43-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2,400 Pixels. It has a refresh rate of 90Hz and a 91.7 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, coupled with Adreno 620 GPU, and features up to 12GB of RAM. For storage, it has a capacity of 256GB of onboard storage that is not expandable.

In-camera department, it has a quad-camera setup at the back, that includes a 64MP primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP portrait lens with f/2.4.

At the front, it has a 32MP shooter.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging.

It has a 4,300mAh battery, that supports 65W fast charging. For security, it has an in-built fingerprint sensor. It weighs 172 grams.

The Pro variant features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ OLED Display, with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. Like the Reno 5, it has a 90Hz refresh rate.

It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC, coupled with ARM G77 MC9 GPU and up to 12GB of RAM. For storage, it has a capacity of 256GB of onboard storage that is not expandable.

In the optics department, it has the same camera setup as the Oppo Reno 5 5G, on both back and front.

The Reno 5 Pro 5G, has a 4,350mAh battery, that supports 65W fast charging. Both smartphones Reno 5 5G and Reno 5 Pro 5G run on Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 on top.

Price And Availability

The Reno 5 5G is priced at CNY 2,699, which is roughly Rs 30,400 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and CNY 2,999, (Rs 33,700) for the 12GB + 256GB variant.

Whereas the Reno 5 Pro 5G is priced at CNY 3,399 which is Rs 38,200 in Indian currency for the 8GB + 128GB variant and CNY 3,799 (Rs 38,200) for the 12GB + 256GB storage variant. Both smartphones will be available in three colors: Aurora Blue, Moonlight Night, and Starry Night.

Both devices are up for pre-orders in China. However, there is no information about the India launch of Oppo Reno 5 5G and Reno 5 Pro 5G.
