Microsoft has announced the new latest iteration of the Notebook PC – Microsoft Surface Laptop 4. Although the major upgrades with the internals are evident in the new laptop, you can consider the Surface Laptop 4 as an updated variant of Surface Laptop 3. This is because the design and everything is very similar to the Surface Laptop 3.
The Surface Laptop 4 will be available in two variants with different processors. You can choose from two different variants which are Intel and AMD chipsets under the hood.
The Intel-based model features the latest 11th gen processors. Besides, the AMD-based variant of Surface Laptop 4 features up to Ryzen 7000 series processors powering the device. Besides these changes, there aren’t any drastic changes on the laptop to discuss.
Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 Configuration Details
The Surface Laptop 4 has many configurations to pick from that are focused on two different users. Some of the models are based on consumer-focused and the others commercial-focused. The laptop is available in two different display sizes that have a 13.5 inches and a 15inch on Surface 4 models.
The specifications details of the 13.5-inch models are given below.
The Radeon integrated graphics coupled along with the AMD chipset variants. Besides, the Intel variants will feature the Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics. The AMD variants of the Surface Laptop 4 feature the Ryzen 5 4680U, 8GB DRAM, 256GB SSD storage, or Ryzen 5 4680U with 16GB DRAM, 256GB SSD storage.
The Intel variants of Surface Laptop 4 feature either Intel Core i5-1135G7 with 8GB DRAM and 512 SSD storage or Core i5-1135G7, Â 16GB DRAM, 512 SSD storage. There are 2 higher-end i7 models of Surface Laptop 4 such as Core i7-1185G7 with 16GB DRAM, 512 SSD storage, and Core i7-1185G7 with 32GB DRAM, 1TB SSD storage.
The 15-inch Surface Laptop 4 with AMD chipset will feature Ryzen 7 4980U with 8GB DRAM, 256 SSD storage. Ryzen 7 4980U with 8GB DRAM, 512 SSD storage or Ryzen 7 4980U, 16GB DRAM, 512 SSD storage. The Intel variant of the 15-inch model features a Core i7-1185G7 with 16GB DRAM and 512 SSD storage.
Price and Availability
The prices of the Surface Laptop 4 with 13.5-inch display and AMD Ryzen 5 variants start from $999 or Rs. 75,196 approx. only. The Intel i5 variants have a price tag of $1299 or Rs. 97,778 approx. only.
The Intel Core i7 variants of the 13.5-inch model get a price tag of $1699 or Rs. 1,27,887 approx. There are four color options for the 13.5-inch models such as Ice Blue, Sandstone, Platinum, and Matte Black.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 with a 15-inch display starts at a price tag of $1699 or Rs. 1,27,887 Â approx. for the i7 chipset. The AMD variant with Ryzen 7 chipset model starts at $1299 or Rs. 97,778 approx. The 15-inch models have two different color options as Platinum and Matte Black. Besides, there is no official information on the launch of Surface Laptop 4 officially in India.
