Lenovo May Launch Moto X4 on August 24

Rahul Krishnan • Updated August 12, 2017 • 3 min read • Leave a Comment

Even though Lenovo purchased the whole Motorola Mobility, people tend to consider the latter as a separate smartphone brand. And, the parent company didn’t hinder in any way possible to get in the middle.

The next smartphone Lenovo is going to launch under Motorola brand is Moto X4. Much like for any other smartphone, the leaks and renders have already come out.

Moto X4 Launch will Most Probably be on August 24

If your interest towards smartphones started years before, you might know Moto X was one of the desirable devices, much like Samsung Galaxy. But over the last years, the company disappointed us and didn’t even release an annual refresh last year.

You must take the specifications you are about to read with a pinch of salt because the company hasn’t finalized the product yet. The display will sport 5.2 inches full HD panel with the same ergonomics we have seen on the last Moto G5.

The Motorola’s signature camera bump is present here too according to the render images. Given the market trend of dual camera setups, we don’t see a reason for Motorola to skip it on this phone. The speculations suggest having a 12 MP camera with a f/2.0 aperture lens and an 8 MP cam with f/2.2 aperture. The selfie camera lens can all the way go to 16 MP.

Underneath the hood, the Moto X4 might sport Snapdragon 630 SoC coupled with 3 or 4 GB of RAM. The internal storage capacity also remains unknown. Maybe, they launch only one variant with either 16 GB or 32 GB storage. We can’t overlook the possibility of Motorola opting for two variants (3 GB/ 16 GB or 4 GB/ 64 GB. No matter what there will be the expansion of the storage. We expect the company includes a dual SIM functionality with a hybrid slot.

The phone may come in two colors; Sterling Blue and Super Black. We don’t think it will support Moto Mods.

The battery capacity is not going to mediocre on Moto X4 as it will reportedly have a 3000 mAh power underneath the hood.

We haven’t got any confirmation about the date yet. But later this month, IFA consumer technology show is coming. We reported Xiaomi might launch their Note 3 with 2K OLED display there. The same may happen with Moto X4 as well.
