Reliance Jio users are reporting on the internet with complaints about the Twitch ban. However, Twitch is not banned by the Indian Government, but it is banned by the telecom operator Jio. IPL 2020 is going on, Hotstar has the exclusive “digital streaming rights” for all the IPL matches. If you don’t know, to watch Live IPL matches, users need the VIP subscription of Hotstar (Which costs Rs 399).
Users have reported that few Twitch members are reportedly streaming IPL Matches, and these streams claim to have had over 1.5 Lakh viewers. Users claim, to stop its Fibernet subscribers and cellular users, to watch illegal streams, Jio may be blocking Twitch in the evening at the time of matches.
