Vivo’s sub-brand has officially brought the iQOO 9 Series of flagship smartphones in India. This new flagship series from the brand include the vanilla 9, 9 Pro, and 9 SE devices. However, the Chinese version of the iQOO 9 comes as a different model and the iQOO Neo5 S comes as the 9 SE in India.
iQOO 9 and 9 SE Specifications
The smartphones sport a 6.56 inches (16.66 cm) and a 6.62 inches (16.81 cm) AMOLED Display, respectively. Both the smartphones come with a screen resolution of Full HD 1080 × 2400 pixels.
The displays support a 120Hz refresh rate along with a pixel density of 398 PPI. The 9 SE gets the Snapdragon 888 SoC, whereas the iQOO 9 comes with the Snapdragon 888+ chipset. Both the chipsets feature 5G and possess the Adreno 660 GPU.
The camera setup on the regular variant houses a triple camera setup of a 48MP primary; a secondary 13MP telephoto and a tertiary 13MP ultrawide sensors. Whereas, the 9 SE smartphone comes with a 48MP primary, a secondary 13MP wide, and tertiary 2MP depth sensors.
The front-facing cameras on the 9 and 9 SE handsets come with a 16-megapixel wide sensor with f/2.5 and f/2.0 respectively for selfies and video calling.
The connectivity options of this duo include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. The sensors array of the devices features an under-display optical fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass.
Moreover, the batteries come in different capacities, featuring a 4350 mAh on the vanilla 9 and a 4500 mAh cell on the 9 SE. However, the 9 SE supports 66W charging, whereas the 9 supports 120W fast charging.
iQOO 9 Pro Specifications
The 9 Pro variant comes with a 6.78 inches 2K LTPO2 AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1440 × 3200 pixels. The display comes with a 120Hz refresh rate screen along with HDR 10+ and a pixel density of 518 PPI.
The device runs on custom Fun touch 12 OS based on the Android 12 operating system. Under the hood, an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC powers the device, coupled with Adreno 730 GPU.
The camera module on the 9 Pro features a triple camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary wide sensor with an f/1.8 aperture that supports Gimbals OIS. A 16-megapixel secondary telephoto sensor with an f/2.2 aperture that supports PDAF, OIS, and 2.5x optical zoom.
Furthermore, the tertiary sensor on the device features a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor with an f/2.3 aperture and a field of view of 150-degrees.
On the front, the punch hole houses a 16-megapixel wide sensor on the display; with an f/2.5 aperture for selfies and video calling. The sensors array of the devices features an under-display optical fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass.
Moreover, the connectivity options of the smartphone include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Dual-Band Wi-Fi; GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. Besides, the battery on the Pro variant comes with a 4700mAh, cell with 120W fast charging support.
Price and Availability
The iQOO 9 starts at Rs. 42,990 for the base variant and goes up to Rs. 46,990 for the high storage version. On contrary, the 9 SE smartphone starts from Rs. 33,990 for the base variant and goes for a price tag of Rs. 37,990 for the high-end storage variant.
The top of the line 9 Pro starts at Rs. 64,990 and tops at Rs. 69,990 for the highest storage unit. The new flagship line-up is currently available for the Indian audience for pre-order on Amazon.
