HP has launched the Omen 16 2021 version officially in India as a gaming laptop. The gaming industry has certainly leaped with live streaming. Also, the sale of compatible devices to play high-end games; has increased, and recently Acer has launched a Predator gaming laptop in India.
Moreover, this newly announced HP laptop is a perfect match for gamers that are looking for a portable and high-performance machine.
HP Omen 16 (2021) Specifications
The Omen 16 sports a 16.1-inch IPS QHD display with a screen resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The display comes with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Furthermore, the display features a 100 percent sRGB color gamut and a 3ms response time for lag-free gameplay. HP is even providing an Eyesafe display certification by Germany’s TÜVRheinlan that lessens the blue light from the display.
An 11th Generation Intel Core i7-11800H processor powers the laptop coupled with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU that comes with 8GB of GDDR RAM. The storage provided on the new HP gaming laptop is up to 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM.
The onboard internal storage of the laptop is up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD storage; that works up to two times the higher speed of storage access over traditional SSDs.
The Omen 16 is equipped with a new technology called Omen Dynamic Power which helps in providing equal power to CPU and GPU. This method of dynamically allocating the power to both CPU and GPU; uses an infrared (IR) thermopile sensor which is an efficient way to make use of this new Omen laptop. Moreover, the heat dissipation system of the laptop features improved internal design and enhanced airflow mechanism better than Omen 15.
Moreover, the system comes with an improved thermal management system; that is 2.5 times slimmer in size and over a 200 percent increase in the blade which improves the airflow. A four-zone RGB anti-ghosting keyboard is an added advantage along with Omen Gaming Hub Light Studio integration for custom settings.
Furthermore, the battery pack on the laptop is an 83Whr cell that claims to provide 9 hours of backup on a single charge.
Price and Availability
The HP Omen 16 comes at a starting price of Rs. 1,39,999 in India for the base variant. In contrast, the gaming laptop was first launched in the US in May for $1,049.99; which is a bit cheap when compared to Indian pricing. The device will be available on HP world stores, HP online stores, and other retail channels across India.
