Nokia G20, a budget smartphone from HMD Global launched silently in India. The HMD Global after acquiring Nokia has brought a few smartphones with the Android operating system. Nokia surfaces around the internet now and then on their new patents, rumors, and leaks about its upcoming devices.
But in reality, HMD Global is delaying the launches of many smartphones in India. One such smartphone delayed and launched now is the G20 device.
Although, HMD Global has announced few 5G smartphones in the European markets like Nokia X20 5G. The only device that made it to India this year is the G20 and there is no information on X20 5G as of now. The G20 device is exclusive to Amazon and has provided a Pre-Order date for the smartphone.
Out of the six phones that Nokia has launched in European markets, only one phone has launched now which is the G20. The device offers a basic specifications list; thus pricing of the G20 is not so appealing as other manufacturers offer much better specifications in India.
Nokia G20 Specifications
The Nokia G20 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with support to a 20:9 aspect ratio. The device runs on the Android 11 Operating System with Stock UI. The MediaTek Helio P35 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM powers the device.
The storage provided on the device is 64/128 GB internal storage with an expandability option with an SD card slot. In addition, Nokia is deemed to provide two years of OS updates as well as three years of monthly security updates.
The camera setup is a quad-camera module featuring a 48-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera. A 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing camera. The front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel sensor. The smartphone features Ozo audio and AI imaging modes on its quad-camera setup.
Also, the display of the smartphone has a water-drop notch that accompanies the front-facing sensor. The device has security features like face unlock and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded with the power button. The battery capacity of the device is a 5,000mAh cell with a 10W charging adapter provided in the box.
Price and Availability
Nokia G20 is priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage variant. The specifications details are from the European market variant as there is no information on the Indian variant. Currently, Amazon has listed the smartphone for Pre-Order which starts from July 7 at 12 PM and there are no official details on the sale day.
