Asus has unveiled Zenfone 7 (ZS670KS) and Zenfone 7 Pro (ZS671KS) in Taiwan. Both smartphones come with a motorized flip camera, similar to the last years Zenfone 6. However, the company has now added three cameras, and the company claims that it’s the first smartphone with a triple flip camera.
Asus Zenfone 7 Specifications
The Zenfone 7 features a 6.67-inch 90Hz AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It has a 92 percent screen-to-body ratio and is protected by Gorilla Glass 6. The display also supports HDR10+.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 7nm, Octa-core Snapdragon 865 processor, paired with Adreno 650 GPU. It has up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage, the storage can be expanded up to 2TB via a dedicated microSD card slot.
In the camera department, it has a triple camera setup that includes 64 MP Sony IMX686 sensor, 12 MP Sony IMX363 ultra-wide lens, and an 8 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
It supports 4K at 60fps and 8K at 30fps recording. In slow-motion, it can record 4K video at 120 fps and 1080 p videos at 240 fps.
Zenfone 7 Pro Specifications
The Zenfone 7 Pro version features a similar display as the Zenfone 7. However, the Pro variant is powered by Snapdragon 865+ SoC, paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
It also has a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion and supports up to 2TB.
The Zenfone 7 Pro has similar lenses in the camera department, which is 64 MP + 2 MP + 8 MP camera. However, the pro variant has 4-axis, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) in the telephoto and wide lens.
Both smartphones run on ZenUI 7 based on Android 10. It has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging and works with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 and USB PD standards.
Sensors on the phones include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor (with customizable shortcuts), Face recognition, Accelerator sensor, E-Compass sensor, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Gyro sensor, Angle sensor, and hall sensor.
Price and Availability
The Zenfone 7 price has been set at TWD 21,990 which is roughly Rs 55,700 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 128GB costs TWD 23,990, roughly Rs 60,100.
Whereas the 7 Pro costs TWD 27,990 which is roughly Rs 71,000 for the single 8GB + 256GB variant. Both come in Pastel white and Aurora Black colour and will be available for purchase in Taiwan shortly. However, there is no word about the global launch.
