Last Updated on March 27, 2020 by Amar Ilindra 19 Comments

In this article you can root Samsung Galaxy Grand GT-I9082 without any risk. Samsung Galaxy Grand GT-I9082 is one of the best Smartphone from Samsung and it still stays under budget of many people. It costs not more than $400 and features and options are really reasonable. It is a dual SIM mobile with 8 Mega pixels camera, Android Jelly Bean, Wi-Fi and lots more interesting options. Before the release of this mobile, Samsung Galaxy S2 plays almost same role, but now Galaxy S2 seems outdated with the release of Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4. Currently Samsung Galaxy Grand GT-I9082 replaced Galaxy S2 and even cost of Grand is low when compared to S2. Almost both mobiles looks alike, only variation is Samsung Galaxy Grand GT-I9082 is a dual SIM mobile.

I found USB Debugging under Developer Options. It is listed in the main menu of the settings screen. My Grand is version “L”. The USB Debugging option is washed out so I cannot check the box. How would I bypass this? There isn’t an “Applications” option under settings, just Manage Applications and nothing under there about Developer at all. I was able to hook up to my PC and load all my pics, music and custom ringtones to the SD card, and they all appeared on the device, but I would love to have apps go there too. I haven’t loaded but 2 or 3 awaiting your response.

@Amar: I do understand that you are quite busy, but please read the posts above! You send a link for an updated version of Fix Recovery.zip, which is one of the 2 files required to root my Galaxy Grand. When I click the link, the file is not found…
So as yet, still unable to root my Galaxy Grand i9082 Duos, because both the required files do NOT work and give an error.

@Amar Ilindra: when I select the zip files as mentioned in the explanation, I get the same result as Iwan explained… get the error that “E:signature verification failed” or “E:failed to verify whole-file signature”.
And then all is stopped. The Galaxy Grand sees somewhere an error in the zip files… This means that it is not possible to root the mobile phone… Help would be much appreciated here, in order to root my mobile phone, so I can use Titanium Backup

Amr, thanks for the step-by-step guide for rooting samsumg grand duos. I followed your steps and downloaded the lastest version of Fix Recovery.zip and Super SU.zip files to the SD card root. In the recovery mode, when I opened the zip files and in the same order you have mentioned, both of them gave an error message sayng “E: Signature verification failed” and “E:failed to verify whole-file signature”. I tried it twice and both the times, I got the same error msg. My mobile was not rooted. What should I do? I wish the processs was simpler and more user friendly!
I look forward to your response.
