Asus managed to grab a lot of love from gadget enthusiasts with Zenfone Max Pro M1. For the same reason, we thought about to launch the next iteration of the same device when we heard of their new event. On the contrary to our anticipations, they have launched two new smartphones under Rs. 10000 price range.

You know there are not many competitors to Xiaomi under 10k price range. Recently, Realme launched C1 and it didn’t really affect the wide variety of the devices from Xiaomi. Maybe, that’s what triggered Asus to target this price segment.

When it comes to the specifications, both the devices sport the same chipset inside. You get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor underneath the hood. Another similarity is the dedicated SD card slot they carry. Yeah, you can pop in two SIM cards and a micro SD simultaneously into Max M1 and Lite L1.

As the name indicates, Zenfone Max M1 is a bit feature-rich than Lite L1. It has a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio, 400nits brightness, 800:1 contrast ratio, 65 percent NTSC colour gamut, and 82 percent screen-to-body ratio. Though the internal storage is 32 GB, you can expand it up to 256 GB using an external SD card. The Snapdragon 430 SoC is accompanied by a 3 GB RAM.

For the optics, the phone features a single camera setup that houses a 13 MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, and LED flash support. On the other side, the selfie camera sports an 8 MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash as well. You will get some software features with the camera like portrait mode, beauty filters, and HDR mode.

The 4000 mAh battery supports fast charging. Moreover, you will get connectivity options like Wi-Fi 80211 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, APGPS, GPS, GLONASS, etc.

The Zenfone Lite L1 carries the same processor. It has only 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage. However, the expansion up to 256 GB is possible here too. Unlike Max M1, Lite L1 doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner. The battery capacity is only 3000 mAh.

Asus said in the event that the phones will hit the market via Flipkart through their Dhamaka Days. Zenfone Max M1 bears a price tag of Rs. 8999. However, you can bag it at an introductory pricing of Rs. 7499. The Lite L1, on the other hand will cost you only Rs. 6999. You can get a cashback of Rs. 2200 and 50 GB additional data from Jio.
