Acer has announced the Aspire Vero Laptop in India with a Recycled Plastic Chassis of 30-percent; which helps in controlling carbon emissions. The laptop comes with an Intel chipset along with SSD internal storage; that runs on the latest Windows 11 Home operating system.
Furthermore, the keyboard and bezels of the laptop are completely made from recycled plastic; making it environmentally friendly.
Acer Aspire Vero Specifications
The Aspire Vero sports a 15.6-inch full-HD IPS LED-backlit TFT LCD with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, a 4.50GHz quad-core Intel Core i5-1155G7 processor powers the laptop coupled with 8GB of DDR4 RAM.
The onboard internal storage of the laptop is a 512GB NVMe SSD and additionally Acer is providing the support for RAM expansion of up to 12GB of RAM.
For the graphic intensive tasks on the Vero laptop; Acer has provided an Intel Iris Xe GPU which comes as a combined package with the Intel Chipset. Speaking of the recycled parts on the laptop, the Vero comes with a screen bezel and key caps on the keyboard completely made of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic. Moreover, Acer is claiming to cut nearly 21% of carbon emissions with the use of PCR plastic on the laptop.
The front of the laptop features the display and above the screen, a webcam is provided that has an HD resolution of up to 720p for video recording and video calls. Furthermore, the webcam comes with a hardware-based privacy switch which helps in blocking the camera while not in use.
Moreover, the webcam is capable of unlocking the laptop with help of Windows Hello and Acer has provided a fingerprint sensor as well.
The connectivity features of the Aspire Vero include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, and Gigabit Ethernet support. The port section of the laptop includes ports for one USB 3.1 port; one USB 3.2 port, one USB Type-C port, one USB 2.0 port, and an HDMI port.
The battery pack provided by Acer is a 3-cell 48Whr cell that provides a backup of 10 hours as per the claims by Acer and supports 65W AC fast charging.
Price and Availability
The Acer Aspire Vero laptop comes at a price tag of Rs. 79,999 with Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage. The listed price of the laptop on the Acer website is Rs. 60,990 for the same specification model as of now.
The laptop comes in a single Volcano Gray color option and Acer is offering one year’s worth of accidental damage protection and a two-year extended warranty at Rs. 899.
The laptop will be available at Acer Exclusive stores, Acer Online Store, and other retail stores across India.
