Xiaomi Launched New Mi TV Models, Mi Band 3, and Mi Air Purifier 2

Last Updated on September 29, 2018 by Rahul Krishnan Leave a Comment

If you are a tech enthusiast, you know Xiaomi isn’t just a smartphone company. They have been manufacturing smart living devices for years now. However, the company didn’t seem to have interest in bringing them to India (except the Mi TV).

On 27-09-2018, they conducted a Smart Living event in Bangalore and launched a total of seven products to build a smarter home. The products include three variants of Mi TV, Mi Band 3, Mi Air Purifier 2, Mi Home security 360-degree camera, and Mi luggage.

As you read above in the heading, Xiaomi has launched three variants of Mi TV. The most expensive of the three is Mi TV 4 Pro 55-inch, for which you have to shell out Rs. 49999 on Flipkart or Mi.com. The Mi TV 4A Pro, on the other hand, carries a price tag of Rs. 29999 whereas the price of Mi TV 4C Pro is Rs. 14999.

They will hit the market by October 10. And, you need to be quick if you have a plan of buying any of these because there is a chance for a price hike after Diwali.

All the three Mi TVs runs on a modified version of Android TV on top of Oreo 8.1. It has built-in Chromecast for you to seamlessly mirror your phone screen to the TV. You can install any app from the Play Store whenever you want. However, Netflix doesn’t seem to work. You can try sideloading mobile version. Still, it doesn’t give you an optimal experience. Xiaomi has confirmed that they will bring the support for Netflix soon.

Under the hood, all the three TVs pack in a 7th Gen Amlogic 64 bit Quad Core processor coupled with ARM Mali 450 GPU. You also get 3 HDMI ports, one headphone jack, and 2 USB ports.

Mi Band 3 will go on sale from September 28 on Amazon and Mi.com at a price of Rs. 1999. It sports a 0.78-inch OLED touchscreen display with the 2.5D curved design. You know the previous generation Mi Band can only receive notifications. However, Mi Band 2 can receive and display them for you to read without picking up your handset.

Going by what Xiaomi said, the gadget is water-resistant up to 50 meters. You can find a handful of features on the band including stopwatch, alarm, periodic heart rate timer, find your phone alert, and more. It has a 110-mAh battery which offers up to 20 days of backup.

Mi Air Purifier 2S, luggage, and 360-degree security camera cost Rs. 8999, Rs. 2499 (for basic variant), and Rs. 2699 respectively.
