Vivo X90 Pro and X90 with MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Chipsets Launched in India

Vivo X90 Pro and X90 smartphones have officially arrived in India featuring MediaTek Dimensity chipsets and a Triple Camera setup. The devices come in the typical Vivo fashion following a similar design from previous X-series devices. Vivo has collaborated with the famous brand of the camera world – Zeiss to bring their lenses to the X90 and 90 Pro.

Vivo uses a dedicated V2 chip for image processing that helps in providing a better quality of pictures as per their claims. These new handsets from Vivo will feature fast charging, high-refresh-rate, and AMOLED displays.

Let’s take a look at the features, complete specifications, pricing, and availability of the Vivo X90 Pro and X90. 

Vivo X90 Pro Specifications

The Vivo X90 Pro sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED 3D curved display with a screen resolution of 1,260 x 2,800 pixels. The display comes with 120Hz high-refresh-rate support and 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Vivo has even provided a 3 Level of Eye Protection that reduces blue light emissions from the screen drastically.

Under the hood, an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset and Vivo’s V2 chip paired with G715 GPU powers the handset. The storage provided on the device features up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 4.0 ROM. The X90 Pro runs on the FunTouch OS based on the Android 13 operating system.

Vivo X90

The camera module features a triple camera setup with Zeiss lenses. The primary camera of the device has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX 989 1-inch sensor with an f/1.75 lens and OIS. The secondary sensor comes with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX758 sensor with f/1.6 aperture. The tertiary sensor has a 12-megapixel Sony IMX 663 shooter with an f/2.0 aperture. The front-facing camera includes a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling.

The connectivity options of the handset include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The sensor array of the X90 Pro features a fingerprint scanner, an accelerometer, and an ambient light sensor. An ambient color temperature sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, and infrared sensor. The battery pack comes with a 4,870mAh cell that supports 120W fast charging.

Vivo X90 Specifications

The Vivo X90 smartphone has a similar set of specifications, display, and software to the X90 Pro. The major difference between the vanilla X90 and X90 Pro are the camera modules and batteries. Vivo has used a different set of camera lenses on the X90 when compared to the Pro variant.

Vivo X90 Pro

The camera module of the X90 features a 50-megapixel primary Sony IMX866 sensor with an f/1.75 lens and OIS. The secondary sensor has a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 portrait camera with an f/2.0 lens. And, the tertiary camera has a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.0 lens. The front features a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

The connectivity and sensors array provided on both the X90 and X90 Pro smartphones includes the same. The battery pack on the X90 comes with a 4810mAh cell that comes with 120W fast charging support.

Price and Availability

The only 12GB RAM + 256GB storage edition of the Vivo X90 Pro costs Rs. 84,999. There will be only one Legendary Black color available for purchase.

The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant of the Vivo X90 costs Rs. 59,999, while the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant costs Rs. 63,999. It is available in the colors Asteroid Black and Breeze Blue.

Both of the new Vivo phones are presently available for pre-order and will go on sale on May 5. They will be offered on Flipkart, the Vivo India online store, and in significant retail locations nationwide. Customers can receive up to 10% cashback when they pre-order new smartphones using SBI, ICICI, HDFC, and IDFC credit cards.
