Vivo T2X Launched with 144Hz Refresh Rate Display and MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC

Vivo has officially announced a new smartphone for its T-series lineup dubbed as Vivo T2X featuring mid-range specifications and pricing. The newest edition of the T2X smartphone from the Chinese brand; comes as a successor to the Vivo T1X that launched last year. Moreover, the latest handset from the brand features a waterdrop notch design on the front display along with a triple camera setup on the rear.

Vivo T2X Specifications and Features

The Vivo T2X sports a 6.58-inch FHD+ IPS display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels. The display on the T2X smartphone supports a 144Hz dynamic refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Moreover, the display comes with a DCI-P3 color gamut and 650 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, an octa-core 6 nm MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset paired with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU power the handset.

The smartphone runs on the Origin OS 2.0 skin based on the Android 12 operating system and comes in two different storage options – 8 GB RAM, 128 GB Storage; 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage. Speaking of the physical aspects of the handset, the Vivo T2X smartphone weighs 202.8 grams and measures 163.87×75.33×9.21 mm.

The camera module of the Vivo T2X smartphone features a dual-camera setup; that includes a primary 50-megapixel wide sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF. Besides, the secondary sensor of the camera setup features a 2-megapixel macro shooter with an f/2.4 aperture along with LED Flash.

Moreover, the front-facing camera on the device comprised in the water-drop notch comes with a 16-megapixel wide sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

The connectivity options of the handset include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port for data transfer and charging. The sensors array of this mid-range smartphone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass.

The battery pack provided on the Vivo T2X smartphone comes with a 6000mAh Li-Po cell; that supports 44W fast charging.

Price and Availability

The Vivo T2X smartphone costs CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs. 19,800) for the base storage option of 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant. On contrary, the higher storage option of this T-series smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage costs CNY 1,899 (approx. Rs. 22,100).

The color options provided on the device come in two distinctive shades, such as the Black and Blue choices. Besides, the smartphone goes on sale from JD.com in China and pre-booking starts on 31 May; along with a CNY 100 discount for pre-booked customers.
