LG has launched LG Tone Free HBS-FN7 true wireless earphones. The earphone is announced along with the LG Q52 smartphone in South Korea. The earphones feature active noise cancellation and LG’s UVnano technology for the charging case. It sanitizes the earphones through UV rays and kills bacteria on the earphones.
The earphones launched in LG’s home country i.e, South Korea. It is said to be launched in the markets such as North America, Europe, and Asia sometime later this year.
The LG Tone Free HBS-FN7 features similar features of its previous generation HBS-FN6 such as Meridian-tuned sound, UVnano charging case, comfortable in-ear fit, and now adds Active Noise Cancellation.
LG Tone Free HBS-FN7 Specifications
The active noise earphone comes with three microphone systems in each earpiece (2 outer and 1 inner). It neutralizes the external sound, in combination with the adjustable ear gels that have a patented twist-fit Vortex Ribs design to provide passive noise isolation.
Moreover, it has ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) to further improve sound quality. The sound tuning is by Meridian Audio, which is a British manufacturer of loudspeakers and other audio equipment. For connectivity, it uses Bluetooth 5.1, with support for the SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs.
As mentioned above the charging case of the LG Tone has the company’s UVnano technology, which uses UV light to sanitize the earphones. The feature is said to kill up to 99.9 percent of certain types of bacteria. However, it isn’t clear if the UV rays can kill viruses such as the novel Coronavirus.
The earphone also features an IPX4 rating for dust and water resistance. It has a 55mAh battery in each earpiece. The headset is claimed to have a battery life of 5 hours with ANC ON and 7 hours with ANC OFF on the earphones. And a total of 15 hours with the case with ANC on. The case also offers wireless charging.
Price and Availability
LG Tone Free HBS-FN7 TWS earphones are priced at KRW 219,000 which is approximately Rs 14,300. It comes in Glossy White and Matte Black color options.
The LG True wireless lineup consists of three earphones HBS-FN4, HBS-FN6, and the latest HBS-FN7.
