Xiaomi has finally updated its tablet lineup with the launch of the new Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Android tablet in India. The Chinese brand has announced their new tablet along with Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphone and OLED vision TV. The Pad 5 tablet made its debut a few months back globally, and the brand has come back with a refreshed tablet line-up after many years in India.
This new tablet from Mi features a high-refresh-rate large display; along with quad speakers that support Dolby Atmos. Furthermore, the Xiaomi Pad 5 comes with a bigger battery that even supports fast charging; also, the tablet gets powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800-series flagship processor. Xiaomi Pad 5 Specifications
The Xiaomi Pad 5 sports an 11.0 inches 2.5K IPS LCD panel with a screen resolution of 1600 × 2560 pixels. The display supports a 120Hz high refresh rate and 1B colors along with the Dolby Vision and HDR 10 support.
Under the hood, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 chipset paired with 6 GB of RAM powers the tablet. The storage provided on the tablet comes with up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage.
The camera module on the Xiaomi Pad 5 comes with single cameras on the front and back of the tablet. The rear-facing camera of the Pad 5 boasts a 13-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and LED flash.
Whereas, the front-facing camera of the tablet features an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. Besides, the tablet runs on MIUI 12.5 skin based on the Android 11 operating system.
The tablet features quad speakers along with connectivity features such as dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Moreover, the sensor array features an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. The battery pack on this latest tablet arrives with a Li-Po, 8720 mAh cell that supports Power Delivery 3.0 and 33W fast charging.
Price and Availability
The Xiaomi Pad 5 starts at a price of Rs. 26,999 for the base storage model of 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The higher storage version of 6 GB RAM and 256 GB of the Pad 5 costs Rs. 28,999.
However, as an introductory offer, the brand will bring the tablet at Rs. 24,999 and Rs. 26,999 respectively. The tablets arrive in a single Cosmic Gray color option and will go on sale from May 7 via Amazon, Mi official stores, and retail stores across India.
