Vivo Y02 Budget Smartphone With an HD+ Display, 5000mAh Battery Launched in India

Vivo Y02 is the newest Y-series line-up member from Vivo in India. The company has brought this budget smartphone with entry-level specifications. The device has a single rear camera, an HD display, and a large battery pack. The back design of the smartphone features a plastic shell with a gradient color theme and a protrusion for the camera.

In the first place, the device got an official launch in Indonesia, and after a month, the brand brought the device to India. The Y02 features a MediaTek chipset, and the display comes with a 2.5D design. However, the smartphone runs on the Go edition of Android with Vivo’s proprietary skin on top.

Vivo Y02 Specifications

Vivo Y02 sports a 6.51 inches IPS LCD with a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The display comes with a water-drop notch, a screen-to-body ratio of 82.5%, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and a pixel density of 270 PPI. 

Under the hood, an octa-core MediaTek chipset powers the device, paired with 3GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The handset runs on Android 12 (Go edition) with Funtouch OS 12. 

Vivo Y02

The camera module provided on the device features a unique design and comprises a single sensor. The rear camera comes with an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash. 

Towards the front, the device features a 5-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. The camera setup with an 8MP sensor on the rear has the capability to record videos in 1080p resolution at 30fps. 

The connectivity options of the device include 4G VoLTE, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. Besides, the sensors array on the smartphone comes with minimal options, such as accelerometer and proximity.

The battery pack of the Y02 device comes with a 5000 mAh cell that supports 10W wired charging and 5W reversible charging.

Price and Availability

The Vivo Y02 smartphone costs Rs. 8,999 for the lone 3GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage variant. The device flaunts two different color options: Orchid Blue and Cosmic Grey. The handset is eligible for a no-cost EMI buying option for Bajaj card users.

The smartphone is available for sale on the Vivo India e-store. Besides, the brand offers a 15-day replacement policy with the phone. Vivo will bring the device soon to other e-commerce and offline platforms across India.
