Rahul Krishnan • Updated March 21, 2017 • 3 min read • Leave a Comment

Mario fans, your wait is over. Nintendo’s first ever mobile game, Super Mario Run will come to Android on March 23.

Apple sealed a deal with Nintendo to exclusively launch the game for iOS first. Ever since that happened, Mario fans using Android was patiently waiting for the game to get released for their platform.

Nintendo officially stated earlier in January itself that Super Mario Run for Android will come to Android in March only.

The game was a huge hit among iOS users. More than 30 million people downloaded it within four days of its release. Even though the company availed the game for free to download, gamers have to pay $10 to get all the levels unlocked. According to the official stats, only 5% of the total users spent money on the game.

We don’t know why they really delayed launching the Android version. Maybe, because of the deal, Nintendo made with Apple for the exclusivity.

The buzz is almost ended at this point. Given that Android has a wider user base as compared to that of iOS’s, Super Mario Run will become the trending topic soon after the release.

You can visit the official Play Store page of the game to get notified about the launch. The preregistration page has been sitting there since the iOS release in December.

Nintendo will be releasing version 2.0 for iOS users on the same day (March 23). No, Android users are not getting the old version. Super Mario 2.0 is what comes to Android as well.

Similar to what we see on the iOS version, Super Mario Run for Android will come for free. But you should pay a fixed amount (most probably, $10) to get all the levels unlocked.

As the game makes a comeback to the buzzes, the official Japanese Twitter account revealed four of the characters in the game. We don’t know whether the Android version will have new levels or not.

On Super Mario for iOS, the gameplay remains simple. Mario runs all the time and you need to make him jump by tapping on the screen. Needless to say, you have to perceive the accurate time to make the jump so that Mario never gets into troubles. The mechanism will stay almost the same for Android as well.

Are you eagerly waiting for the game to get launched?
