OnePlus 8T Launched With 120Hz Display, Quad-Camera, 5G Connectivity Starting at Rs. 42,999

OnePlus has launched its latest OnePlus 8T 5G days after the iPhone 12 launch. The smartphone launched in a virtual event. The OnePlus has also launched OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z, Buds Z, and a 10,000mAh power bank along with OnePlus 8T.

The OnePlus 8T comes with some changes and improvements. It features a 120Hz display, Quad-camera, supports 65W fast charging, 5G connectivity, and more.

OnePlus 8T Specifications

The OnePlus 8T flaunts a 6.55-inches 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and supports sRGB, Display P3.

Under the hood, the latest T series is powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC, coupled with Adreno 650. The company also claimed it has an improved heat dissipation.

It has up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 2-LANE storage.

In-camera department, it has a quad-camera setup at the back. It has a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 16MP Sony IMX481 ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP monochrome sensor.

Camera features include CINE Aspect Ratio Video Recording, Video Portrait, UltraShot HDR, Nightscape, Macro, Portrait, Pro Mode, Panorama, Smart Pet Capture, AI Scene Detection, RAW Image, Filter, Video Focus Tracking, Super Stable, and Video Nightscape.

For selfies, it has a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor with an f/2.4 aperture housed in the hole-punch cut-out at the top left corner.

Sensor onboard, In-display Fingerprint Sensor, Accelerometer, Electronic Compass, Gyroscope, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Sensor Core, and Flicker-detect Sensor.

The OnePlus 8T runs on OxygenOS based on Android 11. It is fueled by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. The company claims the battery can be charged up to 100 percent in just 39 minutes and up to 58 percent in just 15 minutes.

Price and Availability

The OnePlus 8T has launched two storage options in India. The 8GB + 128GB variant costs Rs 42,999, whereas the 12GB + 256GB variants is priced at Rs 45,999. The 8GB variant has two color options Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver, while the 12GB has only Aquamarine Green color option.

The phone will go on sale starting from October 17 on Amazon.in and OnePlus online store. The early access starts on October 16.
