This separation of two variants makes sense where the personal users will opt for the Intel i3 version. Whereas the educational institutes, government, or public sector organizations will choose the Intel Pentium Gold variant.

Although there is no dedicated external GPU present on the 2-in-1 laptop; for the graphical intensive work, the manufacturer has provided an Intel UHD Graphics 615 GPU.

The connectivity options on the Surface Go 3 include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5, 4G LTE, and GPS. Also, the port selection on the device includes a 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack, one Surface Connect port, a MicroSDXC card reader, a nano-SIM tray, and a USB Type-C port.

Microsoft has provided two cameras with 8MP and 5MP sensors on the device that features up to 1080p resolution both on the front and back.
