iQOO Z3 5G Launched with Snapdragon 768G SoC and Triple Cameras

iQOO, the sub-brand of Vivo has announced their new mid-range handset for the Indian audiences. The iQOO Z3 5G is the newly launched smartphone from the Chinese maker with decent specifications and good pricing. The brand is competing with rivals such as Redmi, POCO, and Realme as these brands have pushed out a lot of smartphones at this price point.

Previously, the iQOO Z3 got announced in March in Chinese markets and finally, the handset arrived in India. The brand has recently brought its flagship models into the Indian markets — iQOO 7 and iQOO 7 Legend.  Besides, the new Z-series from the brand promises a good set of specifications with reasonable pricing among the other brands.

iQOO Z3 5G Specifications

The iQOO Z3 features a 6.58-inch full-HD+ LCD with a 1080 x 2408 pixels resolution. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, 90.61 screen-to-body ratios, and a 401ppi pixel density.

An Octa-core 2.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G SoC with Adreno 620 GPU powers the device. Besides, the storage options for the Z3 handset are up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of onboard UFS 2.2 storage.

The device supports dual-sim and runs on the Android 11 operating system with FunTouch OS 11.1 skin on top. The camera module is a triple-camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel primary GW3 sensor with an f/1.79 lens. An 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, and a 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The front-facing camera is a 16-megapixel shooter inside the notch with an f/2.0 aperture.

There are different modes provided in the camera application like Night mode, Portrait, Photography, Video, Panorama, Live Photo; Slo-Motion, Time-Lapse, Pro mode, AR Stickers, and Doc. Besides, the connectivity options are 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging.

The sensors onboard for the iQOO Z3 5G smartphone are proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and e-compass. Apart from that, the handset features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a five-layer liquid cooling system, and extended RAM functionality.

The battery capacity of the handset is a 4,400mAh cell with a 55W fast charging support. Moreover, the company claims the device charges from zero to 50 percent in just 19 minutes.

Price and Availability

The iQOO Z3 comes at a price tag of Rs. 19,990 for the 6GB RAM  and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version is priced at Rs. 20,990 and the high-end variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage option is priced at Rs. 22,990.

Besides, the color options for the smartphone are Ace Black and Cyber Blue. The sale for the iQOO Z3 has started and you can purchase the handset from iQOO.com and Amazon India.
