iQOO 5 and 5 Pro Launched With Snapdragon 865 SoC, Triple Rear Camera and 5G Connectivity

Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO, a gaming smartphone maker has launched a new lineup. The iQOO 5 and iQOO 5 Pro comes with a 6.56-inch hole-punch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both are powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage onboard for faster file transfer.

Both the devices, iQOO 5 and iQOO 5 Pro comes with the triple rear camera setup.

iQOO 5 Specifications

The iQOO 5 features a 6.56 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2376 x 1080 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 19.8:9 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The punch-hole display supports HDR10+.

In the optics department, the iQOO 5 features a triple camera setup that includes, 50MP primary sensor coupled with 13 MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 lens and 13 depth sensor with an f/1,85 aperture. It also supports 20x digital zoom.

Coming to the front, punch-hole display houses a single 16MP camera with f/2.45 aperture. It has a 4500mAh battery that supports 55W fast charging.

Like the iQOO 5, the Pro variant has the same 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2376 x 1080 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 19.8:9 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The punch-hole display supports HDR10+.

The change comes in the camera department, the iQOO 5 pro features a triple camera setup that includes, 50MP primary sensor coupled with 13 MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 lens and 8MP periscope lens with an f/3.4 aperture that supports 5x optical zoom and 60x digital Zoom.

However, the front camera has the same 16MP camera with f/2.45 aperture.

It has a 4,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging, the company claimed it can be fully charged 0 to 100% within 15 minutes.

Similar Specs and Features

Under the hood, both smartphones are powered by a 7nm Snapdragon 865 SoC, coupled with an Adreno 650 GPU. And comes with 8GB and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS3.1 storage.

Both smartphone rear cameras support 8K video recording, EIS (electrical image stabilization), autofocus. And has shooting modes such as Night scene, dynamic photo, AR cute shooting, professional mode, super moon, document correction, starry sky mode, motion capture, portrait light effect, movie Mirror movement, and directional recording.

For connectivity options, both have 5G: n1, n3, n41, n77, n78, n79, n28 connectivity, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1. Both devices run on iQOO UI 1.5 based on Android v10.0

The iQOO 5 series comes with some gaming features such as Hawkey display enhancement 2.0, 4D game shock, Game box, cooling mode (for liquid cooling), and Multi Turbo 4.0.

Price and Availability

Coming to the price the iQOO 5 Pro is priced in China at CNY 4,998 which is roughly Rs.53,900 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model and CNY 5,498, roughly Rs. 59,300 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.

Whereas, iQOO 5 costs CNY 3,998, roughly Rs. 43,100 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, CNY 4,298, roughly Rs. 46,300 for the 12GB RAM + 128GB storage model, and CNY 4,598, roughly Rs. 49,600 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB variant.

The iQoo 5 series is available for pre-order on the Chinese official website, and the sale will begin on August 24.
