Asus ROG Phone 6, ROG Phone 6 Pro Launched with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC in India

Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro have officially launched in India. The devices feature the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and Triple Rear Cameras. The company brings these devices with a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display and a higher capacity battery.

The only difference between the Pro and the regular model comes with the storage; an extra POLED display on the back and no other changes in the internals. Let’s check out the Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro’s specifications, pricing, and availability in India.

Asus ROG Phone 6 Series Specifications

The Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro sport a Samsung 6.78-inch full-HD+AMOLED display. The screen resolution of the display gets 1,080 x 2,448 pixels. The display of these gaming beasts features a 165Hz refresh rate, 720Hz touch sampling rate, and HDR10+.

The screen has a 1 ms response time, 23ms touch latency, and a peak brightness of up to 1200 nits. The devices run on the ROG UI skin based on the Android 12 operating system.

The ROG Phone 6 Pro additionally sports a small PMOLED display on the back panel with ROG Vision. Both devices have the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and a dedicated Pixelworks i6 processor for the display.

Under the hood, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The storage on the series goes up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Both smartphones have the IPX4 certification for water resistance.

Regarding the optics, the triple camera setup of the Asus ROG Phone 6 series includes a primary 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor. A secondary ultra-wide 13-megapixel sensor with 125 degrees of field of view. Furthermore, a 5-megapixel macro shooter is a tertiary sensor. Besides, the front-facing sensor on these new duo comes with a 12-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling.

The connectivity options on both ROG Phone 6 include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6 with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, and two USB Type-C ports. The sensors array of the device features GNSS GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Beidou, QZSS, NaviC, accelerometer, e-compass, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor.

An under-display fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, and ultrasonic sensors for AirTrigger 6 and grip press. The battery pack equipped on the series is 6000mAh cells that support 65W fast charging.

Price and Availability

The Asus ROG Phone 6 costs Rs. 71,999 for the 12GB RAM, and 256GB storage. The ROG Phone 6 Pro costs Rs. 89,999 with 18GB RAM, and 512GB storage.  The devices will flaunt distinct color palettes such as Phantom Black and Storm White versions.
