Couple of months back one of my friend bought a Samsung Galaxy Grand duos and he is very well excited towards pattern lock. He frequently changes the pattern and finally confused and forgot the actual pattern to unlock the mobile. Here starts the new drama, he rushed to me with lot of panic in his face and he is half dead. He said somehow smartphone is locked due to too many failed pattern attempts and now we don’t have access to settings tab to perform a soft refresh.   1. First Switch off the mobile using power button
  2. Press and hold Volume up, Home button and Power button simultaneously for few seconds
  3. Wait until you see Android logo on your screen, once Android logo appears on the screen; leave all three buttons immediately
  4. As you are now in recovery mode, Touch screen will fail to work, you must make use of Volume keys to move the selection up to down and Home button to make the selection.
  5. Now using volume keys, high-lite Wipe Data/Factory Reset and press home button to select it.
  6. In next page, select Delete all user data
  7. Reboot your mobile and setup it as new smartphone.
