Oppo Launched look-alike Apple Watch with eSIM Support and Curved AMOLED Display

Oppo has launched its first smartwatch, named Oppo watch. The watch has a rectangular face and a fluoro rubber strap. It looks a lot like the Apple Watch and is designed in such a way that it could be used by both genders. It comes in two size variants and runs on a custom version of colorOS.

Oppo Watch Specs & Features

It features a curved flexible AMOLED display. The watch comes in two variants, the 41mm model sport 1.6-inch display with a resolution of 320 x 360 pixels. While the 46mm model has a 1.91-inch display and 402 x 476 pixels resolution.

The watch is powered by Snapdragon wear 2500 SoC, however, there is an Apollo co-processor as well. The device switches from the Snapdragon chip to Apollo in order to save power. Watch has 1Gb and 8GB internal storage.

The watch comes with multiple features includes a wide range of workout tracker. It also has an AI-based fitness regime feature. The watch has a sleep monitoring algorithm for tracking sleep as well as a heart rate monitor. Both models of Oppo watch comes with different water resistance ability, the 41mm variant is rated 3ATM, while the 46mm variants have a rating of 5ATM.

The device supports eSIM, users can link their existing number or can use a different eSIM. It runs on a custom version of ColorOS watch. The software is based on Android and compatible with both Android and iOS. Sensors include accelerometer, gyroscope, barometric pressure sensor, optical heart rate sensor, compass, ambient light sensor, and a capacitance sensor.

To keep the lights on the 41mm watch is equipped with a 300mAh battery, while the 46mm model has a 430mAh battery. Both watches support VOOC Flash charge technology, the company claimed, the watch only takes 75mins to full charge.

The watch is said to run for 40 hours of regular use in a single charge. There is a power-saving mode that can give 21 days of run time with notification enabled. Oppo also claimed, charging for 15mins can last you for 18 hours.

Price and Availability

The 41mm variant is priced at CNY 1,499 which is roughly Rs 15,000 and comes in three color options black, gold and silver. However, the 46mm variant comes in two material choices. The aluminum model has black and gold two color options and priced at CNY 1,999 which converts roughly Rs 20,000.

Then the stainless steel variant in silver case version with an Italian calf leather skin strap and priced at CNY 2,499 which is roughly Rs 25,000. The watch will go on sale starting March 24 in China. For now, we have no information when the watch will launch in India or in the International market.
