[Leak] Motorola One Zoom to Launch with Quad Cameras

Rahul Krishnan • Updated August 15, 2019 • 3 min read •

Despite releasing the first-ever mobile phone in the market, Motorola isn’t having the best time in the company roadmap. Even the acquisition by one of the richest company in the world didn’t save them. Motorola hasn’t admitted the defeat yet.

The company keeps on releasing new smartphones every year under the banner of Lenovo. Two new Motorola smartphones have surfaced online. Going by the leaks, we will get a chance to witness a quad-camera setup from the company.

The intrusion of Chinese brands under 20K literally killed the market for Lenovo. Their value for money smartphones smashed every other manufacturer, who wasn’t willing to cut prices. Even when trailing with the specs to price ratio, they were releasing software updates like a brisk business. However, it doesn’t seem to work that way now.

Coming to the phones in the discussion, Motorola One Zoom as the name indicates is a camera-centric device. A popular smartphone leaker Roland Quandt has shared a few images of the device on Twitter. From the tweet, we can spot some official renders alongside a few internal specifications.

When it comes to the design, they have upped the screen-to-body ration. In case you hate notches, you will have to let this pass. The renders hints at the possibility of having a dew drop notch. The device will come available in different colors. On the back, we can spot four cameras above the Motorola branding.

As for the specs, he has mentioned the device will sport a Snapdragon 675 chipset clocked at 2 GHz underneath coupled with a 4 GB of RAM. The 128 GB internal storage can further be expanded using an external SD card.

The rear camera’s primary sensor measures 48 MP with Optical Image Stabilisation. We haven’t got any other details on the specs yet. It is not going to be an Android One phone, though.

Another Motorola phone, supposed to be One Pro, came into the public through the tweet of Evan Blass. From the image he shared, we can deduce the device will come with a pop-up camera.

Chances are both the renders shared by Blass and Quandt are the same (the display design are different though). We have to wait until an official confirmation arrives. Who knows! Maybe, they will release two phones with quad-camera setup but with some difference in the internal specifications.
