Lava Agni 5G Launched with MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC and Quad Cameras in India

The Indian smartphone manufacturer Lava has launched the Agni smartphone as its first 5G handset for the country. A MediaTek Dimensity 5G Chipset powers the device and the rear features a quad camera setup.

It’s the latest smartphone from an Indian brand competing with other mid-range handsets from Chinese manufacturers. Moreover, the device will compete with other models like Samsung Galaxy M32 5G, Realme 8s 5G, and Moto G 5G.

Lava Agni 5G Specifications

The Lava Agni 5G sports a 6.78-inch full-HD+ punch-hole display; with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display features a 90Hz refresh rate and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Protection.

Under the hood, an Octa-Core MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM powers the device. Also, the device runs on the Android 11 operating system and comes with onboard storage of 128GB UFS internal storage.

The camera module on the device is a quad-camera setup featuring; a 64-megapixel main sensor with f/1.79 six-piece lens. Besides, the secondary sensor is a 5-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a duo of 2-megapixel sensors for depth and macro purposes. Additionally, there are multiple modes provided for the rear cameras that include; AI Mode, Super Night, and a Pro Mode.

The front-facing camera on the Agni 5G is a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies along with different types of filters and video calls. The connectivity options on the device include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

Furthermore, the unlocking capabilities of the smartphone feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that claims to unlock at in just 0.24 seconds and face unlock. Also, the battery capacity is a 5,000mAh cell that supports 30W fast charging.

Price and Availability

The Lava Agni 5G comes at a price tag of Rs. 19,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version. Lava is providing an additional discount of Rs. 2000 for customers; that pay an initial amount of Rs. 500 for pre-booking.

The smartphone is currently available for pre-booking on Amazon and the Lava e-store. The sale for the smartphone starts from November 18 on Amazon and retail stores across India.
