Black Shark 3 and 3 Pro 5G Gaming Smartphone Launched: Price, Specs and More

Xiaomi has launched its latest gaming smartphone, Black Shark 3 and 3 Pro in China. For the Black Shark 3 series, Xiaomi has partnered with Tencent. The device supports 65W fast flash charging and comes with Shark keys on the right side of the device.

The Black Shark is a gaming series from Xiaomi and recently the company launched its 3 series silently. Both 3 and 3 Pro look identical. The back of the device is pretty interesting it has a triple camera setup, Black Shark logo in the center and 5G & Tencent games written.

Both smartphones come with pretty much the same specifications except the display and battery. As the name suggests the Pro variant sports a larger 7.1-inch Quad HD+ display and a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. While the Black Shark 3 sports 6.67-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.

On the other hand, the Black Shark 3 has a 4,720mAh battery, while the Black Shark 3 Pro comes with a 5,000mAh battery. Both devices support 65W flash fast charging. However, the 8GB RAM variant of  Shark 3 will come with a 30W fast charger.

Both gaming smartphones are 5G and powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC and Adreno 650 GPU paired with LPDDR5 RAM and USF 3.0 storage. Both devices run on Android 10 out of the box and have an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The camera department includes a 64MP primary camera that has an f/1.8 aperture, a 13MP 120° ultra-wide sensor with f/2.25 aperture and a 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone can shoot 4K video @ 60fps and slo-mo videos at 720 pixel @ 1920fps. On the front, the Shark 3 series comes with a 20MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.

The Pro variant comes in two color options Phantom black and Armor Gey, while the other variant comes in Lighting Black, Satr Silver and Armor Grey color. Price and the variants are listed above.

For now, there is no information about the India launch of the device. But as the company has launched its predecessor in India, there is a possibility that the company could launch the Black Shark 3 series in India.
